Tender For Conservation work at State Protected Monument Brick Baoli Kaithal District Kaithal.--- 1 Uprooting rank vegetation and weeds by digging the area to a depth of 60 cm, removing all weeds and other growth with roots by forking including disposal of all rubbish with all leads and lifts. 2 Cleareance of debris from inside the heritage building by excavion upto depth 1.5mt to 2.0 mtr carefully without damaging the buried archaeological parts of the building and collect all the intact parts at proper place for reuse at the time of restoration work. 3 Providing and laying lime concrete with graded brick bats and 50% lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 Slaked lime : 1 Surkhi : 1 Coarse sand) rammed and finished with gur and belgiri treatment excluding cost of centring and shuttering.(Thickness 100 mm) 4 Brick flooring( as existing ) with bricks of class designation 7.5 on a bed of 12mm lime mortar, including filling the joints with same mortar, with common burnt clay non modular bricks: 1:1:1 (1 lime : 1 surkhi : 1 coarse sand) 5 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven storey height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joining with cup and lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffoldings for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.NOTE:- To be used for maintenance work judicially necessary deduction for scaffolding in the existing item to be done 6 Hiring of water tanker (4500 ltrs) during excution of work. Since the water is salty at site and its not useful for lime mortar work. 7 Applying breathable, non-reactive, antifungal, and water repellant Silane/ Siloxane chemical as approved by Archaeological Survey of India/ Engineerin- charge, of approved brand and manufacture, diluted with solvent mineral Turpentine oil in the ratio of 1:12 (One part of approved chemical :12 Part of Turpentine oil), on the existing sand stone masonry/plastered wall surface with two or more coats to give uniform application of chemical on the surface, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-charge (The rate is inclusive of all materials and labours involved except scaffolding). 8 Provision for hiring (for 6 months) of special type of lime mortar mill (pan type) electrical/mechnical for thorough grinding and mixing of lime mortar and making lime putty as per site requirement including diesel and maintenance. 9 Curing of Lime concrete/Lime plaster surfacewith water mixed with milk of lime, pulp of belgiri and jaggery water (Gur/sheera) to achive the required hardness. 10 Construction of tanks of different sizes for slaking of lime and making lime putty as per archaelogical specification: Brick Work with common burnt clay F.P.S (non modular ) bricks of class designation 7.5 in foundation and plinth in: Cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand)complete in all respect. 11 Providing, erecting, maintaining and removing temporary protective screens made out of specified fabric with all necessary fixing arrangement to ensure that it remains in position for the work duration as required by the Engineer-in-charge. Wooven PVC cloth 12 30-40mm lime plaster in two coats with 20mm base coat in lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 lime : 1 Surkhi :1 Coarse Sand) and top coat in lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 lime : 1 Surkhi :1 Fine Sand). 13 Lime punning with lime putty mixed with Gur,Bilgri,Urd and other ingredients followed by grinding to fine paste for smooth finish. 14 Reconsolidation of Brick Masonry: Traditional brick masonry in lakhori bricks in lime mortar (similar to existing propotion of mortar 1:1:1 , 1 lime : 1 surkhi : sand ) 15 Stone consolidation-removing the loose/damaged stone and reconsolidating with new stone/reusable stone with lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 Lime: 1 Surkhi 1: Coarse sand ) wherevernecessary.
