| 4 | Material andlabour for granules textured homogeneous wall finishing system consisting of a two component system of dry granules (25 Kgs Pack) made of 92% silica particles coated with fade resistant pigments, 100% acrylic polymer bonding agent (5 Kgs Pack) with the applied thickness of the coating being between 0.8 mm - 1.2 mm to be applied on cured, smooth level plastered surfaces, as per manufacture\"s directions, applied by approved applicator of the manufactures as per the directions / supervision of the Engineer-in-Charge. The above textured coating should confirm to surface spread of flame class one of BS 476 : Part 7 : 1971 and pull off strength of the coating to meet JISA 6909 complete all as specified and directed and as manufactures specification/instructions. MAKE : - The item will be executed by authorized applicator only of Bakelite Hylam Limited or equivalent approved company by GE. Contractor shall submit details of authorised applicator for approval of GE before commencement of work in respect of above item. |
| 5 | Material andlabour for rough cast plaster with and including 15mm thick rendering in CM 1:3 on brick wall or concrete surface as specified in clause 14.22 of SSR Part-I complete all as specified and directed.Note:-(i) After applying the under coat of cement and sand mortar 1:3 not less than 10 mm thick and while it is still in plastic state the rough cast mixture consisting of crushed stone or fine gravel aggregate (which is generally of size between 6 to 12 mm depending on the texture required) mixed with coarse sand and cement in the ratio of 1: 1: 1 shall be applied and finished even.(ii) The mix of cement and sand shall be made slightly loose/wetter than normal for rendering to ensure that larger aggregates are thoroughly covered.(iii) Contractor\"s quoted rate shall include all above provisions and no extra shall be admissible on this account. |
| 6 | Material andlabour for preparation of exposed brick wall surface by cleaning the surface wire brush to remove all dirt/loose materials from the bricks and from the joints between the bricks. Prepared surface should be then washed with diluted HCL acid (dilution ratio of 1:50) for three times in a day for two days. After acid wash surface should be allowed to be air dried for one day. NOTE : - Further treatment over the surface so achieved will be carried out only after approved of the same by GE. |
| 7 | Material and labour for carrying out efflorescence treatment to unplastered wall surface comprising of the following specifications and sequence with and including 15 mm thick rendering in CM 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement : - (a) Prime the prepared surface with one of the following product mixed with cement in 1:1 ratio as bonding agent : - (i) Pidicrete URP of M/S Pidilite. (ii) Sika Latex of M/S Sika. (iii) Nitobond SBR Latex of M/S FOSROC.(b) Immediately after priming the surface PMM (Polymer Modified Mortar) to be applied “BY HAND” while the prime is tacky. PMM should be prepared by mixing one of the following compounds in Cement Mortar 1:3 as per manufacturer’s instructions: -(i) Pidicrete URP of M/S Pidilite. (ii) Sika Latex of M/S Sika. (iii) Nitobond SBR Latex of M/S FOSROC.(c) PMM surface should be allowed to dry for one day. After that it should painted with two coats of one of the following compound mixed with cement only in ratio of 1 (selected compound) : 1:5 (Cement) : - (i) Pidicrete URP of M/S Pidilite. (ii) Sika Latex of M/S Sika. (iii) Nitobond SBR Latex of M/S FOSROC.(d) Now apply two coats of one of the following compound over the surface. These compounds are to be used as per manufacturer’s instructions: -(i) Pidifin 2K of M/S Pidilite. (ii) Brush Coat of M/S Sika. (iii) Brush Bond of M/S FOSROC.NOTE : - Both coats should be perpendicular to each other and gap between two coats shall be minimum 6 hours. (e) Sprinkle loose coarse sand after second coat while surface is tacky.NOTE: - (i) The item will be executed by authorized applicator only of the selected / approved company. Contractor shall submit details of authorised applicator for approval of GE before commencement of work in respect of above item. (ii) Every stage of work will be approved by GE, then only next layer will be executed by contractor. |
| 8 | Material and labour for 10mm thick cement plaster in CM (1:3) to ceiling surfaceand finished the surface even and smooth without using extra cement with and including applyingthree coats of white wash on ceiling complete all specified and directed. |
