| 1 | M&L for repair to potholes, area not exceeding 1.0 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming and applying a tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of paving bitumen of Grade VG-10, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm, binded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) and compacted to required camber and gradient with using 8 to 10 tonne power roller, depth of potholes exceeding 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 2 | Scarifying or picking gravelled macadem or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Sqm for depth not exceeding 50 mm and removing there of as accounted under credit, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 3 | M&L for preparation of unsurfaced WBM Surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags or mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming coat/tack coat with paving bitumen of grade VG-10 @ 10 kg per10 Sqm, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 4 | M&L for preparation of existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags or mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed. |
| 5 | M&L applying evenly apriming/ tack coat with bitumenous primer @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm with paving bitumen of grade VG-10 complete all as specified and directed. |
| 6 | M&L for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete (SDAC) 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using 10 to 12 tonne power roller and laying with mechanical paver, complete all as specified and directed. Notes :- (a) Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be prepared in central computerised hot mix plant. (b) Design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from NABL laboratory as decided by GE. (c) Contractor shall quote his rates by considereing binder contents @ 5.5% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation in weight of binder contents on lower side as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ Rs. 60.00 Per Kg of bitumen.(d) The SDAC will be provided on existing road also. |
| 7 | M&L Premix bituminous, macadam with paving bitumen binder VG-30 not less than 4% by weight of total mix (the exact quantity of binder shall be determined by design mix by Marshal method) laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using 10 to 12 Tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.Notes :-(a) Premixed Bituminuous Macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(b) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined follwing the Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs. 60.00 Per KG of bitumen. |

| 11 | Manufacturing, supplying and fixing in repairs retro reflective Mandatory/ Regulatory sign boards of 900 mm diametre with support length of 3750 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC ; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class -2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5 mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50x50x6 mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS-Tee support to be painted in black and white colours).Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing , specification and direction of GE. |
