Diagnostic Testing Of Elect Equipment--Online Motor Testing: 1) Electrical Signature Analysis (ISO 20958; 2013)The following parameters shall be measured:a)Simultaneous 3-phase voltages & currents upto 5000 Hz at 6400 lines of resolutionb) Current & voltage demodulated spectra; Current time envelopec) Apparent, real & reactive power; Power factor & impedanced) Transformer harmonic & voltage de-rating factorse) Odd & even harmonics; Positive, negative & zero sequence harmonics (V & I)f) Total harmonic distortion (V & I)g) Motor efficiency (upto 2000 KW & above 750 RPM, induction motors only)2) Vibration Analysis (ISO 10816-3; 2009)The following parameters shall be measured:a) RMS velocity spectrum in all 3 axes, viz. H, V & A (6400 lines resolution, high Fmax).b) RMS velocity spectrum in H axis (6400 lines resolution, low Fmax).c) Acceleration time waveform in H axis (16384 samples per second, 10 revs).d) Demodulated acceleration spectrum in H axis (6400 lines resolution).e) Cross-phase measurements between points wherever required.f) Orbit Plots in case shaft vibration sensors are installed in the bearings & the buffered output available at the panel.3) Acoustic Emission Analysis (ISO 22096; 2007)The following parameters shall be measured:a) Overall acoustic emissions (dB) using a 100 kHz tuned sensor.b) Enveloped acoustic emissions (DISTRESS) at 100 kHz.4) Thermal Imaging (ISO 18434-1; 2008)The motor body, heat exchanger & power cables shall be scanned using a 320 x 240 FPA, 9 Hz thermal imaging camera to look for problems such as (but not limited to):a) Overheated cables (power & grounding)b) Defective heat exchanger tubesc) Bad bearingsd) Improper cooling , Mob-Demob Motor Testing Online for Ln 1: Mob-Demob Motor Testing Online for Ln 1 , Offline Motor Testing upto 3.3 KV: 1) Insulation Resistance & Polarization Index (IEEE 43; 2013)These shall be measured for all phases together at 2.5 kV.2) Dielectric Discharge Test (CIGRE 552; 2013)This shall be measured for all phases together at 2.5 kV.3) DC Winding Resistance (IEEE 118; 1992)This shall be measured for each phase of the stator & compared to earlier values.4) Winding Circuit Analysis (IEEE 1415-2006)Low voltage, high frequency AC voltage (50 Hz to 400 Hz) shall be applied to the windings and the following parameters shall be measured:a) Impedanceb) Phase Anglec) Current/Frequency Responsed) Test Value Static5) Surge Comparison Test (IEEE 522; 2004)This test shall be performed by applying DC voltage impulses upto 5 kV between two phases of the stator sequentially (R-Y, Y-B & B-R). These impulses shall be recorded using a digital oscilloscope & the Error Area Ratio shall be calculated.6) Tan Delta & Capacitance Analysis (IEC 60034-27-3; 2015)This test shall be performed by applying AC voltage in steps of 20 % of the rated phase-to- ground voltage to each phase sequentially. The max. voltage shall be limited to 100 % of the rated phase-to-ground voltage. The following parameters shall be measured & calculated:a) Tan Delta & Tan Delta Tip-upb) Capacitance & Capacitance Tip-up , Offline Motor Testing 6.6 KV and Above: 1) Insulation Resistance & Polarization Index (IEEE 43; 2013)These shall be measured for all phases together at 5 kV.2) Dielectric Discharge Test (CIGRE 552; 2013)This shall be measured for all phases together at 5 kV.3) DC Winding Resistance (IEEE 118; 1992)This shall be measured for each phase of the stator & compared to earlier values.4) Winding Circuit Analysis (IEEE 1415-2006)Low voltage, high frequency AC voltage (50 Hz to 400 Hz) shall be applied to the windings and the following parameters shall be measured:a) Impedanceb) Phase Anglec) Current/Frequency Responsed) Test Value Static5) Surge Comparison Test (IEEE 522; 2004)This test shall be performed by applying DC voltage impulses upto 5 kV between two phases of the stator sequentially (R-Y, Y-B & B-R). This test shall be performed by applying AC voltage in steps of 20 % of the rated phase-to- ground voltage to each phase sequentially. The max. voltage shall be limited to 100 % of the rated phase-to-ground voltage.The following parameters shall be measured in the bandwidth of 600 kHz to 5600 kHz using a 1nF capacitive coupler:a) Apparent Charge (pC)b) Peak Charge (pC)c) PD Inception Voltaged) PD Ratio , Offline TR Tstng Primry V upto 3.3KV: 1) Insulation Resistance & Polarization IndexThese shall be measured HV-GND, LV-GND & HV-LV at 2.5 kV, as applicable.2) DC Winding ResistanceThis shall be measured for both HV (at normal tap position, minimum tap position & max. tap position) & LV windings.3) Turns Ratio MeasurementThe turns ratio between the HV & LV windings shall be calculated using suitable 3-phase excitation (at normal tap position, minimum tap position to max. tap position).4) Magnetic BalanceLow voltage (415 V) shall be applied to the star (Y) winding across two phases and the induced voltages measured between phases at the star & delta windings.5) Excitation Current TestEach phase of LV & HV windings shall be excited separately at 400 V and the excitation current & inductance shall be measured.6) Tan Delta & Capacitance AnalysisThe following measurements shall be done HV-GND, LV-GND & HV-LV; as well as on the bushings (wherever power factor tap is available):a) Tan Delta at 20%, 40 %, 60 %, 80 % & 100 % of the rated voltage.b) Capacitance at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% & 100 % of the rated voltage.
