Upstream And Downstream Treatment Of Masonry Joints, Drilling And Grouting Of Masonry Dam Structure Of Chandraprabha Dam. - Desiltation by mechanical/ manual means, including engaging Divers ,equipments and disposal of silt to other upstream part of dam as directed by Engineer- in-charge. (Under Water Works) 2 Flush Pointing on upstream face : Raking, cleaning and pointing of Masonry joints with anti-shrink materials using high strength cementitious materials conforming to BIS/ EN-1504-3, Class R4 standard for masonry joint filling to a depth of 5 cm including preparing of flush joint of masonry by removing of existing loose portion of masonry by breaking (using manual /mechanical mix), cleaning with water jet under pressure for removing algae/ fungi, applying bond coat before repair material application and top coat after finishing, complete as per specification including cost of divers and diving equipments, cement materials, machinery, labour, under water divers,working platform,scaffolding, with all leads and lifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Under Water Works) 3 Filling the deeper cavities or loose material area inside the masonry joints of upstream face which are beyond 5cm and upto 30cm using cementitious 1:2 (1 of OPC 53 grade cement, 2 of coarse sand) cement mortar mixed with admixture (10% by weight of Cement) wherever required using racking tools, complete as per specification including cost of divers and diving equipments, cement materials, machinery, labour, under water divers,working platform,scaffolding, with all leads and lifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Under Water Works) 4 Fixing of G.I. grout nozzles of 12.5 mm dia and 300 mm length by drilling holes of dia 16 mm,cutting and sealing (after grouting) 3 Nos. per sqm. in spillway portion and 2 Nos. in wing wall portion in triangular pattern as per requirement on upstream face Including cost of all materials, machinery, curing, labour, scaffolding, with all leads and lifts as directed by Engineer in charge. (Under Water Works) 5 Pack grout filling the internal porous cavities greater than a depth of 30cm and upto 1 metre deep in the RR masonry of upstream face using micro concrete of 45 MPa strength under specified grout pressure of 4.00-6.00 kg/cm2 as directed through nozzles fixed as per requirement to reduce the porosity and to increase strength of masonry structure using grouting machine, mixer with all materials, machinery, labour etc. complete as per specification including cost of divers and diving equipments, cement materials, machinery, labour, under water divers, working platform, scaffolding, with all leads and lifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Under Water Works) 6 T-Pointing on upstream face(including piers) above water level upto the top of spillway flood gates of Masonry dam with UV resistant and low shrink cementetious materials using crystalline technology (CT) conforming to BIS/ EN-1504-3, Class R4 standard for masonry joint filling to a depth of 5 cm including preparing of T joint of masonry by raking out the stone masonry joints (using manual & mechanical means), cleaning with water jet under pressure for removing algae/ fungi, applying bond coat before repair material application and top coat after finishing, complete as per specification including cost of all materials, machinery, labour, scaffolding, transportation with all leads and lift and lifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Above Water Works) 7 T-Pointing on upstream piers of Masonry dam above top of spillway flood gates to top level of Piers with cementitious 1:2 (1 of OPC 53 grade cement, 2 of coarse sand) cement mortar mixed with admixture (10% by weight of Cement) for masonry joint filling to a depth of 5 cm including preparing of T joint of masonry by raking out the stone masonry joints (using manual/ mechanical means),cleaning with water jet under pressure for removing algae/ fungi, applying bond coat before repair material application and top coat after finishing, complete as per specification including cost of all materials, machinery, labour, scaffolding with all leads and lifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Above Water Works) 8 Flush pointing on downstream face(including piers) of Masonry dam with cementitious 1:2 (1 of OPC 53 grade cement, 2 of coarse sand) cement mortar mixed with admixture (10% by weight of Cement) for masonry joint filling to a depth upto 5 cm,cleaning with water jet under pressure for removing algae/ fungi, applying bond coat before repair material application and top coat after finishing, complete as per specification including cost of all materials, machinery, labour, scaffolding, with all leads and lifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Above Water Works) 12 Drilling vertical and inclinedholes in Masonry Dam body (main Dam) from top of the dam with diamond drills, at distance of 3 meter c/c staggered of dia 75 mm in triangular pattern and re-drillingwherever required, including cost of all materials, labour charges, hire charges of machinery etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 13 Cement grouting with stage grouting at 3m Intervals or as directed in the vertical and inclined drilled holes in the main dam starting from the bottom of drill hole using packers with (Cement, micro fine cement, silica, non shrink additives, water) mix under a pressure as per specification/ codes/ direction of the Engineer-in-charge and thickening the grout mix as required (as per specification/ appropriate methods by using admixture for increasing workability, including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour, platforms, scaffolding costs etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.(Measured in dry weight of mix) 14 Conducting field permeability tests in exploratory bore holes (through 07 Nos. of Bore holes before grouting and through 03 Nos. of bore holes after grouting) of various depths at different elevations of average 3m Interval, applying pressure as decided by the Engineer-in-charge. (both ascending and descending) 15 Engaging divers for indentifying the source of entry of water into upstream face of the dam with ROV and colour dye test etc. (Under Water Works) 16 Submission of inspection report of dam along with the live videography of under water works, photographs, videographs and with programme & methodology to carry out repair and rehabilitation work for stoppage of leakage through gate or structure. 17 Fixing & removal of stop log gates arrangement for removal of Irrigation sluice & scouring sluice gates including cost of all materials, machinery, labours etc. to complete the job as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. 18 Hiring of Diesel jeep/car with its driver and maintenance but excluding cost of diesel ( which is to be paid @1litre/10kms) for 24 hours and 1litre lubricant for 400 km. Vehicle shall be hired only after permission granted by EE’s to his junior officer.
