Tender For Special Repair To Certain Roads In Sector C And A At Patiala Mil Stn Under Ge (North) Patiala; 1 Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1.0 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed.. 2 Providing, laying & compaction of Bituminous Macadam (BM) 50 mm Compacted thickness conforming to Clause 504 of MORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc. ofgrading II as per Table 500-7 of MORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision),premixed with bituminous binder, Bitumen grade VG-30 @ 4% (percentage by weight oftotal mix) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equipped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified.Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Mix Design for bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. 3 Preparing black topped surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat of paving bitumen VG-10 Grade @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm mannually orwith mechanical sprayerall as reqd at site complete all as specified. 4 Providing and laying 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) Bituminous Concrete (BC) layer conforming to clause 507 of MORTH specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, 5.5% binder (paving Bitumen grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved Job Mix Formula) etc,cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen to the specific temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives as per mix design in Hot Mix Plant (Batch Type)of 100-120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks, or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber thorough rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface, including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified.Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii)The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate.(iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.(v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MORTH specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8 -10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smoooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 5 Supply and fix in repair solar cat eye aluminum alloy shall (light sensor 100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/0.3 watt on NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright 3 LEDs of colour red/yellow on one side with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd complete as per manufactures instructions etc.all as specified and directed. The stud shall be fixed to the road surface using adhesive and zinc plated nails conforming to IS as per manufacturer recommendations complete. Make of road cat eye as approved by GE 6 Supply & Fix in repairsRoad cat eyes of size 100mm x 100mm x 20 mm meeting with ASTM and MORTH STANDARD WITH YELLOW reflectors, yellow body colour and two sides lens complete all as specified and as directed.. The stud shall be fixed to the road surface using adhesive and zinc plated nails conforming to IS as per manufacturer recommendations complete.Make of road cat eye as approved by GE. 7 Demoilition of Bricks (laid flat or edge) or brick tiles in floors, laid bedded and pointed in any mortar etc of any description complete all as specified and as directed.. 8 Material and labour for 75 mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 using 40mm graded aggregate as in sub base flooring complete all as specified and as directed. 9 Material and labour for Machine pressed precast concrete interlocking paver block with Grey Cement and pigment of any shape and size confirming to IS 15658-2006 of 80 mm thickness M-35 Grade laid over 25 mm thick sand cushioning spread & compacted over base complete all as specified and as directed. 10 Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm) including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed. 11 Marking strips, straight line, zebra crossing and stop line 100mm wide and not less than 2mm thick with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint (white or yellow) buy using automatic mechanical road painting machine complete all as specified and as directed. 12 Supply and fixing metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150x150x300mm) type B-1 complete all as specified and directed 13 Material and labourfor Speed bump of dimension 350 x 250 x 53mm made out of ABS with resistance, wear tear properly highly reflectors moulded in PMMA material,welded with ABS base plate base fixed on roads with adhesive & Zinc plated nails as recommended by the manufacturers complete all as specified and as directed. 14 Supply & Fix in repair convex mirror of dia 80 cm with complete fixing arrangement as per manufacturer instruction including supply and fixing of mild steel post complete all as specified and directed
