Fabrication of cable tray: The scope of work includes fabrication, painting and erection of ladder type cable tray of size up to 1000mm and cable tray support using 75x75x6/8mm/ 65x65x6/8mm/ 50x50x6mm MS angles, 50x6 mm MS flat, 100x50/125x65/ 150x75 mm MS channel, 100x50/125x70/150x75 mm MS beam etc. in phase-2 plants. Loading of MS items from general stores, transportation and unloading at site, safe custody etc. is in contractor’s scope. The fabricated cable rack supports shall be welded to the structures/ insert plates at various levels of the buildings. The contractor shall provide sufficient anchor bolt of size not less than 12 X 100 mm at an interval of 1 meter for fixing the cable tray support if structures/insert plates are not present. The work shall be carried out as per the instructions of the Electrical Engineer -in-charge. MS angle, flat, channel and beam will be supplied by FACT at free of cost.The cable tray and support shall be painted with two coats of anti-corrosive epoxy paint (grey colour) over two coats of suitable primer. Products of M/s. Asian Paints, Berger Paints, Kansai Nerolac Paints & Shalimar Paints alone will be accepted. Product literature of the manufacturer shall be furnished to the Engineer-in charge and the product to be used shall be got approved before starting the work. The epoxy primer shall be Zinc Phosphate primer and thinner used for the work shall conform to the brand specified by the manufacturer in the product literature.The cable tray shall be fixed without causing any damage to the cables. Work site shall be thoroughly cleaned after the work. The scrap materials shall be transported to scrap yard after taking weighment. The contractor shall supply epoxy paint and primer required for the work. Vehicle for transportation and crane for loading and unloading at site will be issued by FACT at free of cost.

Removal of unused HT cables: The scope of work includes removal of unused 11kV, 3Cx400 Sq.mm, aluminium, armoured XLPE/PILC cable fromtrenches, walls and trays. Opening concrete slabs, removing sands, concrete chipping, removing cable clamps for removing cables from trenches/walls/tray is in the contractor’s scope. Cable cutting if required shall be done using hack-saw/hydraulic cutter and no electrical cutter shall be used for this purpose. No damage shall occur to the nearby 3.3kV live cables while removing the existing cables. Any repair/replacement that becomes necessary due to carelessness from the part of the contractor shall be in the scope of the contractor. Loading, transportation and unloading of the removed cables to scrap yard/ cable yard is in contractor’s scope. Crane and vehicles for transportation will be arranged by FACT.

LT Cable tying: The scope of work includes, dismantling the existing LT power and control cables of different sizes from old cable rack after removing the clamps and positioning the same on newly fabricated cable tray. The cables shall be laid back, positioned, dressed and tied firmly on to the new racks. The cables shall tie at an interval of 50 cm using 3 mm nylon rope. Necessary material for tying/clamping of the cable shall be brought by the contractor. The length given against this item is the cable rack length not the length of the cable.

HT Cable tying: The scope of work includes, dismantling the existing HT, 11/3.3 kV, 3Cx400 Sq.mm, power cables from old cable rack after removing the clamps and positioning the same on newly fabricated cable tray. The cables shall be laid back, positioned, dressed and clamped firmly on to the new racks. The cables shall be clamped using aluminium clamps. The length given against this item is the cable rack length not the length of the cable. Vendor shall arrange Alumminium clamps, SS screw and nuts etc. for cable clamping.

Dismantling of Lighting tower: The scope of work includes dismantling of old MS structural lighting tower in Bagging plant. Light fittings shall be disconnected and handed over to Engineer-in charge.Loading, transportation and unloading of the dismantled MS scrap materials to scrap yard after weighment is in contractor\"s scope. Crane for dismantling (if required) will be arranged by FACT.
