Tender For 2000162874 - Design & Engg For Pp Furnace 2000162874 10 10 10 DESIGNG,ENGG.,PREPARATION OF DRAWINGS 1 NO 20 ENGINEERING DRAWINGS PREPARATION 1 NO 30 PROVIDING SERVICES OF ENGINEER 4 10 40 PROVIDING SERVICES OF ENGINEER 2 10 Email : ANURADHA.DALABEHERA@AMNS.IN Contact : Name : Anuradha Dalabehera Item Details : Scope of work for detail engineering support for PP-I induration Process modification: • Study the existing facility in site • Detail Visual inspection of the above-mentioned facilities. • Site visiting with high level experts need to be done. • Scope also includes field visit study, Boarding, Lodging <(>&<)> local transport, and to <(>&<)> from travel Charges are under vendor scope. • Providing Detail fabrication drawings. • For initiation of the activities, a 3 days fact finding at the plants is considered, specifically evaluating the current mechanical status of the plant (including steel structure conditions, material thickness etc.) and the exact conditions for the envisaged machine extension. • Such fact finding will be completed with a compilation of relevant documents and drawings, gathering of relevant operating data and discussions with the operation and maintenance personnel. • Preferably, the fact finding is done during a cold shutdown for the inspection of machine details. If not possible for scheduling reasons, the activities can be executed in a reduced depth during a hot shutdown. Drop seal bar design: • The situation at the furnaces will be evaluated during the fact finding and a root cause analysis will be conducted. • Possible solutions may include the realignment of the indurating machine, improved maintenance procedures for the pallet cars and the drop bars and/or modifications of the bar design. • Alternative sealing solutions including test and implementation plan (extending over various following shut-downs) following will be discussed. Advantage: • Reduction of false air ingress into furnace • Improved process gas flow through pellet bed • Reduction of pressure losses and power consumption of process fans by avoiding cold air ingress and process gas egress • Improved pellet quality • Reduced environmental contaminations • Reduced stoppage time of plant due to breakdowns Deliverables: • A detailed Fact-finding report of the current situation • Recommendations for drop seal bar rectification or modification with suitable solution/drawings Hearth layer bin modification: Recycled hearth layer contains higher quantities of fines, which are accumulated in the hearth layer bin. These accumulations are mobilized and suddenly discharged from the bin at higher hearth layer extraction rates, when the bin extraction turns from channel flow to mass flow. Scope: The following possible solutions will be detailed and compared for Page 2 of 3 ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited AM/NS PELLETS VIZAG Near Flyover, Scindia Road,Visakhapatnam,530004,Andhra Pradesh,India GSTIN 37AAACE1741P1ZG PAN AAACE1741P CIN U27100GJ1976FLC013787 Request for Quotation Number 6000128895 Date 13.02.2025 Submission Date 22.02.2025 Coll Req No AMNS deals with OEMs directly. This is causing lower performance of plant no. 1. (D 40 t/h, better quality at PP2). • AM/NS wants to conduct the optimization of heat and gas balance and seeking related process support from NewFer for connecting half of the windbox-13 to Fan-2 in PP1. • The overall objective is to increase the cooling air flow in view to increase the production rate and maintain the discharge temperature within working limit. Solutions: • NewFer will study the cooling and recuperation fan running performance (hourly data at least stable in operation for 3 months). Also, will involve to study design fan curves and subsequent correlation will be carried out with the available heat and gas balance of PP2 and operating parameters such as machine speed, feed rate, temperature and pressure profile etc. The optimized heat and gas balance will be generated and corresponding impacts to be elaborated as well. Advantage: • Simulation of the Heat and gas balance will overview the impact of windbox connection modification Deliverables: • Optimized heat and gas balance • Technical note on the impact of modification and expectations
