PURCHASE OF VARIOUS APPARATUS/INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED FOR DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY, CHAUDHARY RANBIR SINGH UNIVERSITY, JIND- 1 Stirrer The stirrer should be made up of ceramic coated aluminium alloy top with digital speed and temperature control. The stirring speed should be 50-1500 rpm or better. The stirrer should be operational up to a temperature range of 300oC with an accuracy of ±1.0oC and IP 42 protection class. The input power should be 600 W or above. The stirrer should be supplied with Hemispheric Bowl (100 mL= 1 no; 250 mL= 1 No) to replace oil baths and mantles in order to perform clean and safe analysis with round bottom flasks. 2 Electronic balance The electronic balance should have a maximum weighing capacity of 200 g or more with a resolution and repeatability of 0.1 mg, and a response time of 5 sec or better. The system should have automatic internal calibration with touch screen display. The system should have internal database capacity of 2500 or more with multiuser password protection feature. 3 Vacuum pumpThe pump should be operational at a maximum power of 65 W or more with a max. vaccum of 99 mbar or more. The pump should be fitted with Vacuum and filter cartridge. 4 Hot air ovenThe inner chamber should be made of stainless steel and the outer chamber should be M.S powder Coated. The maximum capacity of the oven should be 100 mL or more. The operational temperature should be between ambient to 250 oC or more with a temperature accuracy of ±1o C. PID based digital Temperature control. 5 Double distillation unitThe unit should be pyrogen free with a distillation water output capacity of 1.5 L/h. The minimum cooling water requirement should be 1lt/min. Auto-power cut facility in case of halted supply of water. 6 Circulating oil bathThe oil bath should be made up of stainless steel with 4 digit 7 segment LED display for temperature and time. The bath should have S.S perforated tray for holding flasks. The bath should have a capacity to accommodate flask of 1L. The working temperature range should be +5 to 240 oC (0.1 oC increment) with a temperature stability of ±1oC. 7 Water bathThe water bath should have a capacity of 20 L within built water level sensor. The bath should be made up of stainless steel and supplied with 8 concentric rings. The bath should have digital temperature control with PT100 sensor. The system should have stirring capability with PTFE magnetic bars. 8 pH conductivity meter Operational between a pH range of -2 to 16.00 with a resolution of 0.01 pH and an accuracy of 0.02 pH. 5 points calibration. The EC range should be in between 0.00 to 29.99 μS/cm 9 UV cabinet Operational at two UV wavelengths (254 and 365 nm). The cabinet should also be equipped with one visible light. The external body should be coated with MS powder/epoxy. 10 Flame PhotometerApplication: The flame photometer is used for qualitative and quantitative determination of several cations, especially for metals that are easily excited to higher energy levels at flametemperature.
