Tender For External Structural Repairs Works To Te Building, Chettikulam, Tirunelveli Ba. ; 1 Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge. 2 Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix) 3 Extra for cutting reinforcement bars manually/ by mechanical means in R.C.C. or R.B. work (Payment shall be made on the cross sectional area of R.C.C. or R.B. work) as per direction of Engineer in-charge. 4 Demolishing brick work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.. 5 In cement mortar 6 Dismantling roofing including ridges, hips, valleys and gutters etc., and stacking the material within 50 metres lead of: 7 Asbestos cement sheet 8 Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead. 9 Demolishing R.C.C. work by mechanical means and stockpiling at designated locations and disposal of dismantled materials up to a lead of 1 kilometre, stacking serviceable and unserviceable material separately including cutting reinforcement bars. 10 Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 11 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand(zone-III) derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources) 12 Reinforced cement concrete work in walls (any thickness), including attached pilasters, buttresses, plinth and string courses, fillets, columns, pillars, piers, abutments, posts and struts etc. above plinth level up to floor five level, excluding cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement : 13 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand(zone-III)derived from natural sources : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources) 14 Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for : 15 Columns, Pillars, Piers, Abutments, Posts and Struts 16 Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete above plinth level. 17 Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D or more. 18 Smooth finishing of the exposed surface of R.C.C. work with 6 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (1 Cement : 3 fine sand). 19 Brick work with non modular fly ash bricks conforming to IS:12894, class designation 10 average compressive strength in super structure above plinth level up to floor V level in : 20 Cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 Coarse sand) 21 Extra for cutting rebate in flush door shutters (Total area of the shutter to be measured). 22 Providing and fixing ISI marked aluminium butt hinges anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS: 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade with necessary screws etc. complete: 23 Note:- Aluminium hinges shall not be used in wooden shutters , Stainless steel hinges shall be preferred 24 100x63x3.2 mm 25 Providing and fixing aluminium tower bolts ISI marked anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS : 1868 ) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade with necessary screws etc. complete : 26 200x10 mm 27 Filling the gap in between aluminium frame & adjacent RCC/ Brick/ Stone work by providing weather silicon sealant over backer rod of approved quality as per architectural drawings and direction of Engineer-in-charge complete. 28 Upto 5mm depth and 5 mm width 29 Structural steel work riveted, bolted or welded in built up sections, trusses and framed work, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer all complete. 30 Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion, (i) Single socketed pipes. 31 (i)Single socketed pipes. 32 110 mm diameter 33 Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised - PVC moulded fittings/accessories for unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion. 34 Shoe (Plain) 35 110 mm Shoe 36 Providing and fixing unplasticised -PVC pipe clips of approved design to unplasticised - PVC rain water pipes by means of 50x50x50 mm hard wood plugs, screwed with M.S. screws of required length, including cutting brick work and fixing in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) and making good the wall etc. complete. 37 110mm 38 Providing and fixing precoated galvanised iron profile sheets (size, shape and pitch of corrugation as approved by Engineer-in-Charge) of total coated thickness 0.50 mm (base metal of minimum 0.45 mm thickness with total coating thickness of 0.05mm) with zinc coating 120 grams per sqm as per IS: 277, in 240 mpa steel grade, 5-7 microns epoxy primer on both side of the sheet and polyester top coat 15-18 microns. Sheet should have protective guard film of 25 microns minimum to avoid scratches during transportation and should be supplied in single length upto 12 metre or as desired by Engineer-in-charge. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling /seIf tapping screws of size (5.5x 55 mm) with EPDM seal, complete upto any pitch in horizontal/ vertical or curved surfaces, excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required. 39 12 mm cement plaster of mix : 40 1:6 (1 cement: 6 fine sand) 41 15 mm cement plaster on the rough side of single or half brick wall of mix : 42 1:6 (1 cement: 6 fine sand) 43 12 mm thick plain cement mortar bands in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand) : 44 Raised Band 45 Applying priming coats with primer of approved brand and manufacture, having low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content. 46 With water thinnable cement primer on wall surface having VOC content less than 50 grams/litre. 47 Repairs to plaster of thickness 12 mm to 20 mm in patches of area 2.5 sq.meters and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete, including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-harge. 48 With cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand). 49 Disconnecting damaged overhead/terrace PVC water storage tank of any size from water supply line and removing from the terrace including shifting at ground level as per direction of Engineer-in- charge. 50 Attending repairs to khurras by cleaning the debris accumulated in the RWP region, removing the vegetative growth completely including the roots by chipping the brick wall wherever required, applying acid to create unfavourable conditions to the roots to bud up etc complete. After removal of roots the RWP is to be relaid in right alignment and alround is to be packed water tight with cement mortar and water proofing compound. Also the top surface is tobe neatly finished with floating coat having proper slope to drain the rain water. All operations tobe executed as per the directions of Engineer-in charge. 51 Welding by gas or electric plant including transportation of plant at site etc. upto 200 spots in the old reinforcement bars all complete as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge. The rates inclusive of all labour involved, rent for the welding unit, transportation, ascending and descending to the required height in the building, arrangements for power tapping etc and nothing extra payable. 52 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, upto 25 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. 53 The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. 54 Note :- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. 55 (2) The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works. 56 Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge 57 75 mm average thickness 58 50 mm average thickness 59 25 mm average thickness 60 Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. 61 Bars upto 12 mm diameter 62 Bars above 12 mm diameter 63 Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge complete in all respect. 64 Epoxy bonding adhesive having coverage 2.20 sqm/kg of approved make. 65 Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make) modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (1 cement: 4 graded coarse sand with polymer minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. 66 Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 30 N/Sqmm2). 67 12 mm average thickness. 68 25 mm average thickness in 2 layers. 69 50 mm average thickness in 3 layers. 70 Providing and laying SBR Polymer modified (of approved make @ minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) plain/ reinforced concrete jacket for the structural members e.g. columns, pillars, piers, beams etc with concrete having the specified minimum characteristic compressive strength [with ordinary portland cement, coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 10mm maximum size in proportion as per design criteria] with specified average thickness all-round existing core of RCC member. 71 Note: Rates shall be for finished surface area of concrete and shall include the cost of making holes in existing RCC slab, if required, for pouring concrete in shuttering mould of jacket and appropriate approved Super-Plasticiser for rendering concrete as flowable self compacting and SBR polymer but shall exclude cost of reinforcement, bond coat, Shear Keys, centering and shuttering, strutting, propping etc. 72 (Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding/tapping with a blunt metal instrument) 73 100mm thick in Grade M 25 with cement content not less than 330 kg per cum 74 Providing, erecting, maintaining and removing temporary protective screens made out of specified fabric with all necessary fixing arrangement to ensure that it remains in position for the work duration as required by the Engineer-in-charge. 75 Wooven PVC cloth 76 Providing and fixing G.I steel wire fabric (Chicken Mesh) or other suitable size wire mesh to be fixed & firmly anchored to the concrete surface by means of L shaped mild steel shear key welded with existing reinforcement including the cost of materials, labour, tool & plants as approved by Engineer-in-charge.
