| 27 | Installation of manually bored cast in situ pile including the cost of boring and concreting but excluding the cost of reinforcement in the following steps.Making excavation of about 60 cm depth and width approximately equal to the pile diameter. Boring by using manual augur in stages of about 1.20 m depth, by turning a T-shaped pipe arrangement bolted to the augur head, which can be extended by adding segments as depth of excavation increases. After boring in each stage, soil is bailed out and stacked at some distance away from the bore hole. Verticality is maintained at all times with a collar fixture kept at ground level, and fitting around the driving shaft. After boring to full depth of excavation as per drawing, forming of single underream/bulb at required depth by pressing down the expandable bulb forming fixture and rotating the T-shaped pipe attachment similar to pile boring, and bailing out the soil. After inserting the reinforcement cage, tremie concreting the bore, the tremie raised and lowered using a tripod-pulley-manual winch arrangement, making sure that concrete doesn’t flow out excessively at ground level. Checking the pile alignment to ensure that it is as per structural drawing.Note: Bentonite slurry shall be pumped into the borehole while boring inorder to stabilize the side walls. In case soil is sufficiently strong, this requirement can be dispensed Note: Bentonite slurry shall be pumped into the borehole while boring inorder to stabilize the side walls.
