Tender For Arresting Gear Jobs For Navy Vessel (Rm.0807); 1 1.31- Arresting Gear 2 1. 31. 1 Complete servicing and checks of the Arresting Gear assemblies and sub assemblies. Following required to be undertaken: - 3 1. 31. 1. 1 Check depth of the groove of movable and stationary blocks of braking gear, hosting blocks and angle blocks using block groove gauge. Replace the pulley blocks if abrasion exceeds 5 mm.Qty – 148. 4 1. 31. 1. 2 Measure the full side clearances between the adjustment ring and bronze ring of small and large blocks of the arresting gear carriages. if the clearance exceeds 4.4 mm, replace the bronze ring of the high speed unit and the rings with significant defects. Qty – 36. 5 1. 31. 1. 3 Check clearance between the inserts of the movable carriage cross-head and side and lower guides. If full side clearance of upper and lower inserts is over 1.5 mm and lower clearance of lower inserts is over 1 mm, replace the cross head inserts. 6 1. 31. 1. 4 Check clearance between the inserts of the cross-head and the guides of the cable anchor damper. If full side clearance is over 1.5 mm and upper clearance is over 1 mm, replace the crosshead inserts. 7 1. 31. 1. 5 Measure vertical clearance between the guide and the inserts on the movable block of the damping device. if the side clearance exceeds 0.8 mm, replace the crosshead plates. 8 1. 31. 1. 6 Measure the clearance between the ring of the angle block and the bronze ring of the block. If clearance exceeds 1.3 mm, replace the bronze ring. 9 1. 31. 1. 7 Check the control valve cam torque values. 10 1. 31. 1. 8 Checks all electrical control circuits from LCP to Arrester Gear compartments. 11 1. 31. 1. 9 Checks all electrical components at LCP and Arresting gear control panels 12 1. 31. 1. 10 Inspect and measure the depth of the block groove of the following pulley blocks (148 nos) using block groove gauge. Replace the blocks if abrasion exceeds 5 mm. 13 1. 31. 1. 10. 1 Angle block. 14 1. 31. 1. 10. 2 Movable and stationary blocks of damping device. 15 1. 31. 1. 10. 3 Hoisting block. 16 1. 31. 1. 10. 4 Arresting gear carriage block. 17 1. 31. 1. 11 Arresting gear heat exchangers to be chemically cleaned. 18 1. 31. 1. 12 Disassemble the upper part of all pulley blocks, clean, grease, inspect roller bearings and check the pulley for smooth rotation. Qty - 142. 19 1. 31. 1. 13 Disassemble the upper part of deck pulley blocks, clean, grease, inspect roller bearings and check the pulley for smooth rotation.
