Tender For Special Repair To Road Under Ge 874 Ews, Job No- W/Sr-01/Stn Hq Chowkibal/2024-25; 1 M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge. 2 M&L for applying evenly a priming / tack coat on existing black top surfaces with paving biutuninous primer at 5 Kg per 10 sqm complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge. 3 M&L for applying evenly a priming / tack coat on existing black top surfaces with paving biutuninous primer at 10 Kg per 10 sqmcomplete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge. 4 Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, makinggood by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings). depth of potholes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge. 5 Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n exc 400 sqm complete exc 50 mm deep n exc 100 mm deep all as specified. 6 M & L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), granite trap or basalt spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge. 7 -Ditto- all as per item ser No 06 as above but except material complete all as specified and as directed. 8 M&L for premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving bitumen binder, laid/ rolled and compacted to require gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm ), complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge.Note :- WKs of repair to pot holes each upto 1 Sqm area to be carried in places and also patch repairs to depressions over 50mm shall also be carried out under this item. Rate under item No 5 includes for cleaning the surfaces of pot holes and deepressions and removing of the rubbish materials as per site requirement. 9 M&L for bitumenonous premix asphalotic semi- dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen bitumen binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge. 10 Note for serial item No 2,3,8 & 9:- (i)Preparation of mixin hotmix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible and has to maintain the required temperature of mix under all conditions tjill it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these itrems shall include for carrying out the works with depolyment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable.(ii) Central computerised Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of constituents for preparation of bituminous macadam and the same shall be laid with mechanical sensor paver all as specifiedand directed (iii) Over newly provided bituminous macadam surfaces, further bituminous work, if ordered, shall be provided simultaneously after provision of bituminous macadamı & πο separate payment for provision of tack coat for bonding between the bituminous macadam & further bituminous work necessiated due to the time period gap or otherwise shall be made for separately (iv) The design mix shall be carried out from the Zonal lab/ Govt approved lab/Govt Engr College as approved by GE and design mix shall be got approved by GE before (v) The cost of all the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of above item 11 M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
