E250 BR : Hot rolled low, medium and high tensile structural steel, ASTM A-106 : Seamless Carbon Steel Pipes for High Temperature services, IS : 1239 : Mild steel tubes, tubulars and other wrought steel fittings, ASTM A-105 : Specification for Carbon steel forgings, for piping components,ASTM A-234 : Specification for piping fittings of wrought carbon steel and alloy steel for moderate and elevated temperatures, welder qualification as applicable ASME Section IX : ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Welding and Brazing Qualification, Testing requirementsASME Section V : ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Non-destructive Examination shall be performed by ASNT/ISNT Level-II qualified personal : Liquid Penetrant Examination, Spot radiography – 10% in addition to all “T” joints, Hydro testing, Vaccum box testing for tank bottom plate. Painting All surfaces both inside and outside including spiral stairway, supporting structure, nozzles, vents etc. of all tanks shall be shot-blasted in accordance with IS:1477 Part – I, All inside surfaces shall have one coat of epoxy equivalent to Epilux 4 Z/R Primer (min DFT 50 micron per coat) followed by one coat of intermediate coat equivalent of Epilux 4HB MIO (min DFT 75 micron ) and two coats equivalent of Epilux-5 coal tar epoxy(min DFT 80 micron per coat).All outer surfaces shall have one coat of Zinc Anode 304 NPC coating (min DFT 75 micron ) followed by one coat ofintermediate coat equivalent of Epilux 4HB MIO (min DFT 75 micron ) and two finish coats of PU (Glossy & min DFT 50 microns per coat)of grey colour.Bottom of bottom plate shall have one coat ofepoxy equivalent to Epilux 4 Z/R Primer (min DFT 50 micron per coat) followed by one coat ofintermediate coat equivalent of Epilux 4HB MIO (min DFT 75 micron ) and two coats equivalentof Epilux-5 coal tar epoxy (min DFT 80 micron per coat).
