Tender For Resurfacing Of Roads In Hwp (K) Plant Site Phase Iv; 1 Providing and applying tack coat using bitumen emulsion conforming to IS:8887, using emulsion on bituminous surface @ 0.25kg/sqm pressure distributer etc. including preparing the existing road surface by removing all kinds of unwanted, foreign and loosely stuck materials using manual /mechanical means including scrubbing with hard wire brushes, brooming, collecting and disposing off the unserviceable material followed by intensive application of high pressure (@ 4 - 6 Kg. /Sq.M) compressed air jetting for removing all kind of dirt / dust etc.allcomplete as per the specifications and direction of Engineer-In-Charge. 2 Providing, Laying and Rolling open graded Premix Carpet produced through hot mixing of stone aggregate ( size conforming to Section: 500 of MORT&HSpecifiactions) with bitumen of specified source and specifications (VG-30 Grade conforming to IS: 73 from Indian Oil Corporation) @ 5.0 % by weight of Total Mix in Automated Hot Mix Plant (having provision for verifying weights and temperatures of individual ingredient as well hot-mix) in specified thickness, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with Paver Finisher of appropriate width and consolidated with 8-12 MT road roller to achieve the desired compaction complete,followed by finishing with 8-12 MTvibratory roller for bringing the finished surface to true gradient , camber, straight edge etc. all complete as per Section: 500 of MORT& H specification, drawings, Technical specificationsand direction of Engineer In Charge. Note: Pre-qualification and acceptance of all the contractors eqipments by HWP(K) for their working condition, capacity, adequacy for work etc. shall be mandatory before deployment at works 3 Providing, Laying and Rolling Premixed Seal Coat as per section 500 of MORT&H Specification in 10mm compacted thickness by using paver Finisher of suitable width using hot mix of fine aggregate – bitumen (fine aggregate passing 2.36 mm sieve and retained on 180 micron sieve, mixed with bitumen of grade VG-30 conforming to IS – 73 source from Indian Oil Corporation) with Bitumen content of 6.0% by weight oftotal mix, evenly mixed in hot mix plant, consolidating with 8-12 MT roller and finished with 8-12 MT Vibratory roller to a uniform thickness surface including spraying the rock dust of specified fineness (as per section 500 of MORTH specification) liberally on the surface and brooming/ cleaning the surface followed by fanning with compressed air for removing all loose dirt and foreign material etc. complete as per specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.) Note:1. Pre- Qualification and acceptance of all the contractor’s equipments by HWP(K) for their working condition, capacity, adequate for work etc. shall be mandatory before deployment at works.2. Contractor shall lay the seal coat with in 1-2 days after completion of laying & rolling of the pre mix carpet otherwise contractor shall apply tackcoat while doing seal coat at his own cost and no loss whatsoever on this account will be entertained by the department. 4 Providing and applying100mm wide and 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) on the both side/Edges/Center line of theroad, of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications. (Thermoplastic material Automark/ Asian or any other equivalant make conforming to Section: 800 of MORT&H specification for hot applied thermoplastic road making shall be used) 5 Providing and fixing retro- reflective Glow studs of size 100x20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by Engineer in charge. The glow stud shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35 (+/-5) degress to base .The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. 6 Providing and fixing solar glow studs of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (with a shank of 65mm) made of Aluminum-alloy shell having 100% water proof design according to IP67, high Efficiency Mono-Crystalline Solar Panel 2.4 V / 0.3 Watt & One Ni-Mh or NI-cd Rechargeable Battery (1.2V / 1600 MA) with Six Super Bright LEDs of 10,000 to 18,000 mcd (Millicandela) having a view Distance upto 1000 meters & Flash Rate of 2Hz or as directed by EIC with bearable Weight ofapprox 10 Tons in yellow, red, blue, green or white colour, it should have working time of 3 to 4 days after fully charged battery with charging time of 5 to 6 hours from direct sun light & working temp of 10 to 75 degree centigrade, Unbreakable poly carbonate clear facing design having provision of automatically turns on at night and turns off at dawn etc. complete as directed by EIC.The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
