Maintenance activity involves followings: (a) Regular Patches: Keep the software up-to date by installing patches which include bug fixes, security and performance improvement even if OS upgrades. (b) Monitoring for identify issues early and allows for proactive maintenance. (c) Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the software’s performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks or resource-intensive processes. This may involve tuning system configuration, database queries. (d) Data Integrity Checks: Perform routine date integrity checks to identify and correct inconsistencies, date validation errors in the database. This help maintain the accuracy and reliability of the data store in the data base. (e) Database optimisation: This may involve tuning database parameters, optimization storage configurations, or portioning large tables.
