Tender For Annual Rate Contract For Maintenance Of Railway Tracks In Nfl Naya Nangal Premises During The Year 2024 2026; 1 Through packing of BG track upto sleeper density of alignment, levels, super elevation and curvature as specified in Indian Railway Permanent way Manual. In addition to above, contractor will have to carryout the job of loosening of entire width of ballast (including central portion) even if it is caked up due to effect of spillage of LSHS or any other reasons. The contractor is also required to make up the ballast as per site requirement after transporting the same from any location in Interchange yard as well Factory area yard. Handling of ballast shall be paid extra in relevant items. 2 Shallow screening / overhauling of BG track upto sleepers density (M+4with all type of sleepers ) as per IRPWM. In addition to above, thecontractors will have to carry out dressing of compacted ballast (ballast portion only) for effective drainage as per site requirement including through packing of ballast after screening complete.The contractor is also required to make up the ballast as per site requirement after transporting the same from any location in Interchange yard as well Factory area yard. Handling of ballast shall be paid extra in relevant items. 3 Through packing of turn out /points and crossings in BG trackwith all types of sleepers including adjustment of alignment levels and curvatureto required standard as per IRPWM. In addition to above the contractor will have to raise the points and crossing as per site requirements to take it in consistence with the grade of approaching tracks including loosening of entire width of ballast (including central portion) even if it is caked up due to effect of spillage of LSHS or any other reasons. The contractor is also required to make up the ballast as per site requirement after transporting the same from any location in Interchange yard as well Factory area yard. Handling of ballast shall be paid extra in relevant items. 4 Shallow screening / overhauling of turn out/ points and crossing with all type of sleepers as per IRPWM. In addition to above, the contractor will have to carry out dressing of the compacted ballast (ballast portion only) for effective drainage as per site requirement. The contractor will also have to raise the points and crossing as per site requirements to make it consistent with the grade of approaching tracks including through packing of ballast laid after screening complete.The contractor is also required to make up the ballast as per site requirement after transporting the same from any location in Interchange yard as well Factory area yard. Handling of ballast shall be paid extra in relevant items. 5 Handling of ballast of any size stacked anywhere in interchange yard / Factory Area as well as in the area above the side slopes of cutting of interchange yard / Factory Areas and putting the same anywhere in tracks, points and crossings, lifting, packing (three rounds) and boxing etc. including all ascent, descent crossing of obstruction complete in all respect as per the instructions of the Engineer-in-charge. 6 Carrying out maintenance of all the BG track and points & crossings in interchange yard & Factory Area, the length of which is appox. 21 KMs (including points & crossings and excluding tracks T-1, T-3 & old Neptha track) through out the year except Sunday / National Holidays including G.holidays by deploying a gang of sufficient persons comprising of Keymen, Gangman/ Helpers, Blacksmith and Hammerman during the normal working hours i.e. 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. However, out of the above persons, four persons should be stationed at nearest location of work site even at odd hours i.e. during 5 P.M. to 8 A.M. to attend any eventuality / derailment that may take place at any instant.Note: One Operation consist of 21 nos. persons (02 Skilled + 19 Unskilled) daily in one month except Sunday/ National Holiday / Gazetted Holiday. 7 Following activities are included in the scope of this item, to ensure trobule free traffic operation:- 8 Daily patrolling of entire track length specified above including sunday. 9 Casual renewal / adjustment of keys /jaws/spikes/gribs, cotters, fish bolts and nuts etc. 10 Cleaning and oiling of points and crossings as and when required. 11 Gauging leveling and maintenance of clearance at all wing rails. 12 Picking of slacks as per Railway norms as and when required. 13 To keep the entire yard tracks free from all types grass and wild growth (by weeding out from ballasted portion of track and points and crossing and by cutting from ground level. 14 Cleaning of level crossing as and when required. 15 Oiling and graphting of joints. 16 To maintain proper expansion gap and prevent creeping of rails as per the instructions of Engineer-in-charge. 17 Cleaning of drains along tracks for proper driange of storm water. 18 Note: 1) The contractor may note that it will be his responsibility to keep the track fit for traffic and monthly check of the track will be ensured.2) On Sunday and closed Holidays patrolling is essential, if required.3) If Contractor fail to deploy required nos. of mandays in a month then payment shall be made, as per Clause No. 3 (ii) of Technical Terms & Condition of Contract.4) All equipment, maintenance Tools & Tackles required for the job shall be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost. 19 Rerailment of derailed Railway Engine/ wagon of any type and size(viz. box type tanker, betal, empty or full etc.) at any instants and any where in interchange yard / Factory Area with manual labour and traveling jack etc. complete as per instructions of the Engineer-in-charge. 20 For rerailment of each derailed empty wagon/ tank/ betal etc. 21 For rerailment of each derailed loaded wagon/ tanker/ betal etc. 22 Rerailment of each derailed Engine. 23 Note: Minimum 08 persons with required tools and tackles shall report at rerailment site within half an hour period from the time of reporting the incident to representative of the contractor and attempt should be made to complete the rerailmentjob within feasible period. In case, the crane is required, the same shall be provided by NFL free of cost. 24 Renewal/ fixing of check rail with check rail block and nuts and bolts etc. on all type wooden/ steel sleepers under running condition of track including cutting of rail foot and drilling of holes in check rail as well as main rails and sleepers etc. complete all as per Railway norms and instructions of Engineer-in-charge. Rate are including cutting of road and filling the same if required. Nothing extra shall be paid on this account. 25 Casual renewal of all type of rails under running conditions of BG track as well as points and crossing including cutting of rail with hacksaw and drilling of holes as per requirements. 26 Casual renewal of V type crossing. 27 Casual renewal of all types of wooden/ steel/ CI / PRC sleepers etc. under running conditions of BG track as wall as points and crossings including fixing the fastings, packing the sleepers as per instructions of the Engineer-in-charge. 28 Replacement of any type of sleepers in points and crossings/ turnout. 29 Replacement of any type of sleepers under BG track i.e. wooden/ CI/ PRC steel trough sleepers. 30 Making holes by rachard or drill machine in 92R /75R/ 52kg. Rails 31 25mm dia 32 12mm dia 33 Removing wild growth including cutting of all type of vegetation from yard area along the sharp curves blind corners, side slopes, area between the various Railway lines (excluding carriage way width of track) for clear visibility and smooth / safe movement of locomotives / rolling stock of tracks in Interchange & Factory Area all including removal of the same to the dumping yard. Nothing extra shall be payable for working on sloopy heights and intricate locations. 34 Note: The contractor shall note that the quantities against all items are tentative and these quantities may vary to any extent during actual execution of the work due to unforeseen circumstances, which can’t be pre-accessed. Therefore, the tenderers shall quote their reasonable rates against all these items, since NFL will not entertain any claim for variation in quantities to any extent against these items. 35 Supplying and stacking of stone aggregate of size 40mm to 63mm at specified location ininterchange yard / Factory Area.
