Bids Are Invited For Custom Bid for Services - Job Contract for Operation and Maintenance Support and Services for Metallography Laboratory Equipments in Physical Metallurgy Group at RDCIS SAIL Ranchi - Sample Preparation for Metallographic Examinations, Optical Microscopy & Image Analysis Scanning Electron Microscopy including EDS Analysis Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy including EDS Analysis & EBSD Studies Transmission Electron Microscopy including EDS Analysis Preparation of Thin Foil Samples for Transmission Electron Microscopy Liquid Nitrogen Generation & Dispensing including feeding for SEM/TEM & sub-zero Mechanical Testing(s) Miscellaneous Jobs including Coordination with Stores for Various Services & Workshop for Sample Preparation and Maintenance of Laboratory Records (Requisitions/ Complaints/ Test Results), The brief outlines for the job/ activities are as beow: i) Assistance in sample preparation for metallographic examination which includes cutting, grinding, polishing, mounting and preparation of chemical etchants, cleaning of working and storage areas of the Sample Preparation Laboratory. ii) Assistance in microscopic examinations including optical and electron microscope, image analysis system and micro-hardness testings. iii) Assistance in monitoring of Liquid Nitrogen Plant operation and dispensing of liquid nitrogen in cryogenic dewars and pressurized cylinders. iv) Assistance in bi-weekly fillings in Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopes. v) Assistance in periodic servicing of chiller units associated with electron microscopes, liquid nitrogen plant. vi) Assistance in handling gas cylinders, for various Laboratory vii) Assistance in shifting of small equipment from laboratory site to maintenance laboratory, workshops, central stores and back etc. for repair and maintenance, if required. viii) Assist during preventive and breakdown maintenance of laboratory equipment. ix) Assist in maintaining and updating records of metallographic laboratory, such as receipt of indent, intimation of breakdown, service report etc. x) House-keeping of laboratory work space including equipments. xi) Handling of samples for preparation of test specimens at work shop and/or from outside agencies. xii) Assist in site preparation, installation & commissioning for new equipment xiii) Any other miscellaneous & contingent job that may arise from time to time.
