Lantern carriage shall be made of ERW M.S. Tube with class B material grade suitable for mounting LED flood light fittings symmetrically distributed. Incoming 63 A TPN shall be located inside high mast as incomer. Double drum type winch with electrical operation through power tool consisting control panel, motor etc. shall be provided for each mast. Provision of manual operation shall also be kept. Winch shall be provided with stainless steel wire rope and shall have oil lubrication provision. Torque limiter as applicable shall be considered. All necessary 1.1 kV grade PVC and flexible cable required along with earthing material shall be considered. * Scope of work 1. Supply of High Mast with light fittings - No - 3 2. Installation and commissioning - No - 3 1. General 1.1 The masts shall be electrically driven complete with capping section, lantern carriage, pulleys, winch assembly, wire ropes, junction boxes, electrical cables, plug and sockets for disconnecting cables, contactor starter along with astronomical timer and all necessary accessories, base plate/flange, base compartment, foundation bolts, feeder pillar box, earthing pit and associated earthing materials, etc. 1.2 Two earth terminals shall be provided in the mast base. Necessary erection of the high mast tower, supply of all foundation bolts, special embedment, GMS pipes, etc as required to complete the installation shall be included. 1.3 The masts shall consist of a minimum number of telescopic sections of suitable lengths each fabricated from mild steel plates of adequate thickness suitably welded to give a continuous tapered polygonal profile. The sections shall be hot dip galvanised both on the inside and outside. Bottom section shall have a base plate made from lamination free steel plate welded to it for anchoring the mast to a reinforced concrete foundation block. Gusset plates shall be welded between each bolt hole locations. 1.4 The capping section shall be made out of hot dip galvanised mild steel and shall be fixed at the top of the mast. It will house specially designed pulleys for winch wire ropes and cables. Pulleys shall be fitted on stainless steel pins and the design shall be such that this suspension does not require any lubrication. The top assembly shall be protected by a hot dip galvanised MS head frame. 1.5 The lantern carriage shall be designed to accommodate required numbers of luminaries. The main frame shall be made of pipes to which steel plates shall be welded for mounting of luminaries, control gear boxes, junction boxes etc. The assembly shall be hot dip galvanised. Design shall ensure proper concentricity between the mast and the carriage. Provision shall also be made in the design for proper positioning and levelling of the lantern carriage at its top docking position. At its lower docking position the carriage shall rest firmly at a maintainable height from the ground with the help of suitable stoppers. Design shall also ensure that during raising and lowering operation of the carriage no part of the mast surface is damaged. 1.6 The winch assembly shall be mounted inside the mast at a convenient height from the base.
