Pair of welders hand gloves (One pair consists of LH & RH) Type-1 confirming to IS-2573/1986(Reaffirmed 2003) except size. The total length (L) of the hand glose shall be 450+/-5 (18\"), as against the sizesmentioned under para 3.2 of IS : 2573/1986, Also the hand width size shall be 5.5\" (min) and cuff width size 7\"(min) as against para 4.3.1.1 of IS; 2573/1986. The item shall confirm to test parameters as per IS:5914/1970.The item shall also confirm to the following . 1) The gloves shall be made of split leather. 2) The golves shall bedyed in dark rust /blue/black colour. 3) Thickness of leather shall be 1.2mm minimum 4) The leather of handgloves should be hard wearing and heat resistance cowhide/buffalo hide. 5) The gloves shall be so flexible thatuser must not feel stiffness while doing continuous welding. 6) The gloves shall have thinsulate insulation liningas intermediate and cotton cloth shall be used for hand inner lining and fire resistance cloth for calf portion lining.7) Cotton threads shall be used for stitching purpose, it should be as per IS: 1720, variety No. 29, 6 cord andsingle thread breaking load shall not be less than 21.1 newtons.8) The seam of the thumb shall be reinforced witha leather strip and stiched with two rows of thread.
