The main goals of operation and maintenance of IT infrastructures are: (i) System availability: Ensuring that IT systems are available to users when needed and minimizing downtime. (ii) Performance optimization: Optimizing the performance of IT systems to ensure that they meet the organizations requirements. (iii) Security and compliance: Ensuring that IT systems are secure and comply with relevant regulations and standards. (iv) Cost optimization: Reducing the total cost of ownership of IT systems by implementing cost-effective maintenance practices.
