The Device Should Have Rigid, Mono Block Construction Of Cylinder Reservoir And Pump With Base Area Approximately 300 Cm2 . It Should Be Of Single Casting Or Fabrication For Rough And Rugged Use In The Field And To Prevent Leakage Of Hydraulic Oil Through Joints And Oil Seals Etc., During Normal Operation, Having Sufficiently Large Capacity Pump Such That In About 90/95 Strokes, The Pump Should Lift The Load Through A Height Of About 80+3 Mm. The Ram Shall Be Of One Single Diameter Throughout Its Length For Single Stage Lifting And Of Uniform Diameters For Multiple Stage Lifting For Each Part Of The Ram. It Shall Have A Swiveling Ram Cap Or Saddle For Better Grip. Release Valve Should Be So Provided As Can Be Closed By The Clockwise Movement Of The Handle At The Time Of Operation. The Anti-Clockwise Movement Of The Handle Should Enable The Release Valve To Open There By Lowering The Jack Ram. The Position Of The Release Valve Shall Be Facing The Operator. Oil Seals (Nutring, O-Ring, Washer, Etc.) Should Be Of Special High Pressure Brand Of Synthetic Neoprene/Nitrile Rubber/Viton Of Taflon Material (Superior Brand To Be Provided) Generally Conforming To Is:6838- 73., Obstruction Less/Non-Infringing Type Hydraulically Operated Machine Used For Rail Distressing, Rail Welding, Installation Of Insulated Glued Joints And Other Repair Works Of Rail Failures. The Machine Shall Consist Of A Portablet E Assembly Of The Following Main Components :- A) Two Hydraulic Cylinders (Double Acting) Operated Through Hand Pump. B) Rail Grip And Clamp Assembly. C) Tie Car (For Pulling Operation Only) . Oil Seals(Nut Rings, O-Rings, Washer Etc.) Shall Be Of Special High Pressure Brand Of Synthetic Neoprene/Nitrile Reinforced With Tafflon (Ptfe) Back Up Rings. It Shall Be Obstruction Less In Nature I.E. No Part Of Machine Shall Project Above Rail Head While In Operation. Hydraulic Cylinders Of The Machine Shall Be Double Acting Cylinders I.E. The Machine Shall Be Able To Exert Force When Ram Is Coming Out And Also When It Is Going In. Equipment Shall Be Loaded Upto 120% Of Rated Pressure For Pulling Pressure As Well As For Pushing Pressure And Shall Be Kept Steady For 5 Minutes, The Drop In Pressure Shall Not Be More Than 10% Of Rated Pressure At The End Of This Period. After This Test, The Equipment Shall Operate Smoothly Throughout The Range Without Any Slip Or Visible Damage And Shall Not Show Any Sign Of Leakage Of Oil Or Any Other Abnormality. Each Machine Shall Be Supplied With A Complete Kit Of Ordinary Tools And Special Tools Required By The Operator In Emergency And For Normal Working Of The Machine, With One Year Onsite Warranty.
