The Health Service Executive Invites Tenders From Suitably Qualified Education Bodies (Eb) Capable Of Offering Post-Graduate Nurse And Midwife Education In Ireland, To Develop And Deliver Education Programmes At Nfq Level 9 For Advanced Nursing And Advanced Midwifery Practice For Up To 140 Nurses And Midwives Per Academic Year. At Time Of Tendering It Is Estimated That 100 Nurses And Midwives Per Annum Will Undertake The Msc Advanced Practice Education Programme (Nfq Level 9), 20 Nurses And Midwives Per Annum Will Undertake The Graduate Certificate Education Programme (Nfq Level 9) And 20 Nurses And Midwives Per Annum Will Undertake The Graduate Diploma Education Programme (Nfq Level 9). The Expert Review Body (Erb) On Nursing And Midwifery (Doh, 2022) Identified Key Recommendations To Enhance And Support The Development Of Nursing And Midwifery Practice. Recommendation 28 Identifies The Need To Evaluate The Impact Of Advanced Nursing And Midwifery Practice In Ireland To Inform The Continued Strategic Implementation And Development Of Advanced Nursing And Midwifery Practice. It Is Within This Context That This Tender Is Being Progressed. The Overriding Requirement Of This Tender Is To Commission Suitably Qualified Eb(S) Capable Of Offering Post-Graduate Nurse And Midwife Education In Ireland, To Develop And Deliver Education Programmes At Nfq Level 9 For Advanced Nursing And Advanced Midwifery Practice For Approximately 140 Nurses And Midwives Per Academic Year. The Education Programmes Must Offer Options For A One Year Graduate Certificate, A One Year Graduate Diploma And A Two Year Part-Time Option For A Broad Based Master’S Degree Level Advanced Practice Nursing And Advanced Practice Midwifery To Commence In September 2025.
