DTN has been identified as a solution for next generation space missions, including Earth Observation missions, constellations, and Lunar and Mars communication networks.While the core protocols for DTN, such as the Bundle Protocol (BP) and Bundle Security Protocol (BPSEC), have been defined and initial BP deployments onground exist and in-orbitdemonstrations have been performed, associated management and operations concepts still need to be defined and validated in representative scenarios. This activity addresses the development of an overall DTN network management and operations architecture involving mission and network operations (including ground segment operations). Interoperability with other agencies and commercial partners will need to be addressed and the architecture shall take operational and security concerns into account. However, the focusison the overall operations concepts for a network of networks operated together withother agencies and commercial entities, ultimately forming a Solar System Internet. It is expected that the proposed activity shall contribute to these important international challenges from a European perspective.
