Tenders are invited for Procurement of Envision Star Tracker. EnVision is a Venus orbiter mission selected by ESAs Science Programme Committee as the fifth Medium-class mission in the Agencys Cosmic Vision plan. It will be the first mission to investigate Venus from its inner core to its upper atmosphere, characterising the interaction between its atmosphere, surface/subsurface and interior. It aims at providing a holistic view of Venus, studying the planet history, activity, and climate. In the frame of this program, Thales Alenia Space France will release an Invitation To Tender for the procurement of the STAR TRACKERS whose main functions are: Autonomously determine and thereafter continuously track the inertial orientation of its boresight. Takes pictures of the sky vault and performs image data processing to provide the measured attitude in STR reference frame. The present ITT considers the procurement of the following elements: STAR TRACKER Flight Units STAR TRACKER Engineering Model STAR TRACKER OGSE Different options including Spare Kits This procurement will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements (reference ESA BEST PRACTICES IPC(2012)65,rev.2).
