Request For Quotations For Supply Of Energy - Alberta . Facilitated By Unified Energy 8760 Ltd. (“8760”), The Rural Municipalities Of Alberta, Operating As Canoe Procurement Group Of Canada (“Canoe”) Are Conducting An Aggregated Tender For Its Members’ Electricity And Natural Gas Future Requirements. Canoe And 8760 Have Been Formally Awarded Contracts To Manage The Electricity And Natural Gas Procurement Process On Behalf Of The Participating Members Of Canoe (Hereafter Known As The “Clients”). The Clients Are Made Up Of A Variety Of Municipalities And Other Public Organizations Across Alberta. This Request For Qualification (“Rfq”) Is An Invitation By Canoe To Prospective Retailers (“Respondents”) To Qualify In Accordance With Part 3 – Evaluation Of Responses For Future Eligibility As A Bidder In A Competitive Bidding Process To Provide Electricity Supply And / Or Natural Gas Supply As Further Described In Part 2 – The Deliverables (The “Deliverables”). The Primary Goal Of This Process By Canoe And 8760 Is To Secure, For The Best Price Possible, Electricity And Natural Gas Supply Arrangements That Are Both Administratively Simple And Of Minimal Risk. Additionally, Canoe And 8760 Wishes To Obtain (On Behalf Of The Clients), Firm And Competitively Priced Electricity And Natural Gas Supply From Respondents Who Are Registered With, Or Who Have Partnered With, A Retailer Registered With The Government Of Alberta. Non-Registered Retailers Will Be Considered At The Sole Discretion Of Canoe And 8760. The Ultimate Purpose Is To Purchase Firm, Non-Curtailable Supply Of Electricity And Natural Gas To Be Delivered To The Clients Facilities Located Throughout The Province, As Outlined In Section 2.2 Canoe And 8760 Make No Guarantees On The Value Or Volume Of Work To Be Assigned To The Qualified Selected Respondent(S). Respondent(S) Will Be Evaluated According To The Criteria Described In 3.4.1 Rated Criteria. Based On Those Criteria, Certain Respondent(S) Will Be Selected Onto A Pre-Qualified Supplier Roster List For The Potential Subsequent Provision Of The Deliverables To Canoe, 8760 And The Clients Pursuant To An Invitational Second Stage Competitive Bidding Process. The Length Of Term Of The Pre-Qualified Supplier Status Will Be For A Period Of Twenty-Four (24) Months From The Date That A Respondent Is Deemed To Be Qualified, Unless The Respondent Experiences A Material Change In Operations Or Financial Condition Within That 24-Month Period. Respondents Should Note That The Procurement Is Compliant With Chapter 5 Of The Canadian Free Trade Agreement And Article 14: Procurement, Of The New West Partnership Trade Agreement. All Rights And Obligations Of The Parties Shall Be Governed By The Specific Terms Of Each Tender Call.
