The Existing Betts Street Sewage Pumping Station (Sps) Constructed In 1989 Is A Critical Asset For The Operation Of The Cootamundra Sewerage System. The Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (Cgrc Below) Sewerage Network Consists Of Approximately 58 Km Of Sewer Main. The Network Consists Of 5 Sewer Pump Stations (Sps), And 1 Sewage Treatment Plant (Stp) And Is Primarily 90% Gravity Mains With 4 Minor Upstream Sewerage Pumping Stations And A Major Sps At Betts Street.Over The Past 5 Years, The Betts St Sps And Rising Main Has Had Solid Deposition Problems Due To Low Velocities And Corrosion Which Has Resulted In Pipeline Failure Within The Cootamundra Sewerage Network On Several Instances.
