Tenders are invited for GT14-503GSA Antenna Terminals for Santa Maria Site Evolution. The SMA-1 is a 5.5 m S/X-Band receive only antenna that is currently installed in Santa Maria (Azores, Portugal) and used to provide launcher support (for Ariane, Vega, etc.) and reception of Earth Observation data. The SMA-1 backend and part of the front-end equipment are hosted in dedicated shelters. Both the SMA-1 antenna terminal and shelters have reached their end of life. The proposed activity aims to: develop a new antenna system (with a range between 5.5 - 6.5 m) to continue launcher support (S-Band reception) and industrial exploitation (X-Band reception) as well as for Space Rider S-Band telemetry reception. develop an S-Band Acquisition Aid antenna (SAA) system with uplink and downlink capabilities.
