Open Date: 25/02/2025 12:02 CET Closing Date: 25/03/2025 13:00 CET Price Range: 500 KEURO The re-engineering of the existing Copernicus Sentinel Data Processors will introduce a significant paradigm shift in User Level Data provisioning, harmonising the data format across the Sentinel missions, architecting scalable processing on cloud platforms, designing for direct compatibility with data science programming frameworks, and fundamentally facilitating take-up by providing access to analysis-ready and information-ready data. However, due to the extensive utilisation of Sentinel data within the Earth observation ecosystem, the transition to the new format needs to be managed with a substantial overlap with existing operations and encourage user adoption of the new format.The scope of this activity is to make available an open-source software for visualising and facilitating dynamic analysis of Earth observation data in Zarr format, particularly the EOPF data resulting from the re-engineering of theSentinel data processors, and to demonstrate the softwares capabilities by deploying it operationally as a service.Beyond the delivery of the open-source software and demonstration service, the activity shall also provide insights into the definition and optimisation of the Zarr configuration for visualisation, and benchmark useful configurations in terms of pyramid layers, data chunking, compression, file size, and other relevant parameters.
