Douglas Shire Council Seeks To Establish A Register Of Pre-Qualified Suppliers (Rops) For The Supply Of Electrical, Plumbing And General Trade Services For A Contract Period Of One-Year.Tenderers Are Invited To Submit Offers For Inclusion Onto The New Register Of Pre-Qualified Suppliers For Electrical, Plumbing And General Trade Services, Under One Or More Of The Register’S Individual Categories. ?Suppliers Who Respond To This Opportunity May Be Added To The Register If They Are Evaluated (In The Opinion Of Council) As Meeting All Requirements Of The Tender?Inclusion Onto The Register Does Not Provide Any Guarantee Of Work With Council?Council May, At Its Sole Discretion, Re-Advertise By Public Tender And/Or Refresh This Register Of Pre-Qualified Suppliers During The Term Of This Arrangement At Any Time.Selection Of A Supplier From The Register, For A Particular Job, Will Be At The Discretion Of Council Officers. Consideration Will Be Made On A Supplier’S Capability Or Capacity, And Factors Such As The Nature Of The Work, The Cost Of Responding At The Required Location And The Supplier’S Assessed Performance On Previous Works.The Intent Is To Form A Register Of Pre-Qualified Suppliers For Electrical, Plumbing And General Trade Services Who May Provide Goods And Services To Council On An As Required Basis.The Primary Objectives Of Council Inviting The Request For Tender Are:?To Obtain Value For Money?To Ensure Open And Effective Competition?To Ensure Timely And Efficient Supply Of Services To Councilthe Acceptance By Council Of A Lodged Tender Shall Be Deemed To Form A Contract Between Council And The Tenderer For The Supply And Execution Of Electrical, Plumbing, And General Trade Services, For The Contract Period, At The Inclusive Rates Submitted On The Tender Forms.
