Within The Must-Hyf Project Funded By Bmwk, A Manufacturing Process Is Being Developed Through Which Hybrid Structural Components Made Of Flowcore, A Particularly Long-Fiber Thermoplastic Fvk With A High Fiber Content, And High-Strength Steel Can Be Produced In A Single Press Hub. For This Purpose, The Hybrid Presses Developed At The Chair For Vehicle Oven Construction Of The University Of Siegen Is Used, Which Is Suitable For The Simultaneous Forming Of Steels And Original Formation Of Fvk. The New Procedure Works Two -Stage, But In A Tool And With A Press Stroke. In The First Stage (Tool Cavity 1), The Steel Sheet Is Converted And In The Second Stage (Tool Cavity 2) Is Attached To The Thermoplastic Plastic That Has Already Been Formed In Cavity 1 (Flow Presses). This Means That The Hybrid Component (Hybrid B-Pillar) With A Two-Stage Tool Is Produced In A Single Production Line With A Press Hub.
