Research Contract To Review Drug Prevention Services In Ireland Using The Review Of Prevention System (Reps) Method The Health Research Board (Hrb) Is The Lead Agency In Ireland Supporting And Funding Health Research. We Provide Funding, Maintain Health Information Systems And Conduct Research Linked To National Health Priorities. Our Aim Is To Improve Peoples Health, Build Health Research Capacity And Make A Significant Contribution To Irelands Knowledge Economy. The Hrb Is The Irish National Focal Point To The European Union Drugs Agency (Euda). The Hrb Is Also Responsible For Managing The Research And Monitoring Aspects Of Ireland’S National Drugs Strategy. As Part Of Its Preparation For A New National Drugs Strategy In 2025, The Department Of Health Wishes To Undertake A Review Of Existing Of Prevention Services In Ireland. Identifying And Describing Prevention Services At National Level Using Reps Evidence-Based Prevention Of Drug Use Promotes The Wellbeing And Health Of Children, Youth, Adults, Families And Communities, As Described In The International Standards On Drug Use Prevention, Second Updated Edition, Published By The United Nations Office On Drugs And Crime (Unodc) And The World Health Organization (Who). The Review Of Prevention System (Reps) Is A Tool That Has Been Created By Unodc To Allow The Assessment Of The Extent To Which The Drug Prevention System Of A Country Or A Sub-National Entity (E.G. A Municipality) Is In Line With The Standards With A View To Identifying Areas Of Strength And Weakness To Allow Improvement. The Health Research Board Wish To Contract A Researcher Or Research-Focused Institution To Complete An Inventory Of Prevention Services In Ireland Using The Unodc’S Reps Tool. This Work May Be Contracted To An Individual Researcher Or More Than One Researcher. An Institution May Undertake This Contract And Assign The Work To One Or More Named Researchers Who Are Employed By, Or Under Contract To, That Institution.
