Tenders are invited for Specialized Engineer Responsible for Modeling and Simulations. Closing Date: 17 Jan 2025 The International Development Company, a Research & Development firm headquartered in Quebec, Canada, is looking for experts with the following profiles for a project in Burundi. Qualifications and Professional Experience 2. Specialized engineer in charge of modeling and simulations for stability studies (HT/MT/BT network) with at least 8 years of experience in electrification studies; Specific experience: Electrical engineer specialized in network modeling and calculations with at least 3 years of experience in simulations relating to stability and connection studies in distribution and involved in the electrification study of at least two investment projects including (i) feasibility studies (ii) preliminary designs and (iii) preparation of the Call for Tenders. Mission Objectives This will involve conducting studies whose result will be to produce the deliverables in the form of the following reports: 1. Feasibility study or Summary Preliminary Design (APS); 2. Detailed Preliminary Design Study (APD); 3. Produce a Call for Tenders Document (DAO) as well as 4. Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP). The study area covers ninety-five (95) hills that are not yet electrified and partially electrified in the provinces of Bubanza and Bujumbura. The specific objective is to conduct a detailed, bankable technical study, ready to seek financing for the execution of the project. The challenge of the project aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of the beneficiary population. Preparation of the final versions of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of the project (ESIA), the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) Establish the technical specifications for the supplies, provide all the sketches and georeferenced plans required for the project and define the procedures to be followed for the implementation of the project. Establish the general provisional schedule for the execution of the project, as well as the execution schedule specific to each component. Preparation of specifications and price lists. Preparation of Call for Tender Documents (CTD) Prepare the call for tender documents (CTD), according to the format, rules and procedures of the World Bank, for all components of the project that will be identified by the Consultant.
