Tenders are invited for Development of Daytime and Multispectral Space Debris Observation Capabilities (Expro+) Sustainable space operations rely on the accuracy of the trajectorysdetermination of space objects. For space debris, the achievable accuracy on the orbit determination products is particularly limited by the observation time and the observation conditions. Currently the collection of measurements is limited to night-time, decrease the achievable accuracy on the orbit determination and congesting, at the same time, telescopes schedule.Extending the observation time to daylight will brigs the following benefits: Improve the accuracy of orbit determination products, increasing the length of the observed arc and exploiting the different observation geometry. Correct ephemeris offsets to improve laser target acquisition performance. Decongest and optimize telescope observation time. Shorten the decision time in case of contingencies. Provide additional object-observer-Sun relative geometries insupport of ground-based attitude determination methods.Additionally, the employment of different wavelength intervals of the electromagnetic spectrum and eventually their simultaneous usage can be used to: Disambiguate light curves for attitude reconstruction purposes. Assess satellites activity and their observability based on thermal signature. Classify and characterize space debris objects. Investigate effects of the space environment Read less.
