As Part Of The Lohi Iijokeen 2 Project, A Monitoring Study Of Migrating Salmon And Sea Trout Juveniles (Smolts) Will Be Carried Out In The Livojo River In 2025 And 2026. The Task Includes E.G. Building A Gillnet, Catching Fish With A Gillnet And Marking And Transferring Fish. The Measures Of The Lohi Iijokeen 2 Project Include E.G. Monitoring Study Of Smolts In Livojo/Iijoen Haapakoski, Underwater Camera Monitoring Of Smolts In Haapakoski, Development Of A Migration Route For Smolts In Haapakoski, Transfer Of Rising Fish And Smolts, Preparation Of A Juvenile Stocking Program And Small Fry Plantings. The Project Is Managed By The North Ostrobothnia Association. The Union Of North Ostrobothnia Is A Union Of Municipalities Formed By The 30 Municipalities Of North Ostrobothnia. Decision-Making Is Based On Municipal Democracy, And The Decision-Making Power In The Union Is Exercised By The Provincial Council And Government. The Tasks Of The Association Are Regional Development, Including The Preparation And Drafting Of Regional Development Programs And Eu Programs In Cooperation With Other Actors, Regional Planning, Advocacy And Making The Province Known.
