Among The Purposes Entrusted To The Womens Institute Is The Promotion Of Conditions That Enable Social Equality Of Both Sexes As Well As The Prevention And Elimination Of All Types Of Discrimination Against People Based On Sex, In Accordance With The Second And Second Articles. Third Of Law 16/1983, Of October 24, Creating The Autonomous Body Institute For Women, Providing Care And Information About Their Rights To Women And Victims Of Discrimination Based On Sex And Assistance So That, In If Applicable, Process Their Claims For Discrimination. This Complies With The Twenty-Seventh Additional Provision Of Organic Law 3/2007, Of March 22, For The Effective Equality Of Women And Men, Which Incorporates Into Spanish Law The Directive On Equal Treatment 2002/73/Ec, Of Reform Of Directive 76/207/Eec, Relating To The Application Of The Principle Of Equal Treatment Between Men And Women, (Current Directive 2006/54), Which Added A New Article To Law 16/83, Of October 24, Creating The Womens Institute, Currently The Third Article, Which Entrusts The Institute, Among Other Functions, With Providing Assistance To Victims Of Discrimination To Process Their Discrimination Claims. Along The Same Lines, Law 15/2022, Of July 12, Comprehensive For Equal Treatment And Non-Discrimination, In Its Article 53 Establishes The Obligation Of Public Powers To Guarantee Information To Victims, Through Telematic Services. And In Person, To Provide Comprehensive And Multidisciplinary Care To Victims Of Discriminatory Behavior For Any Of The Causes Provided For In The Law, Among Which Is Discrimination Based On Sex. Likewise, To Fulfill These Purposes, According To The Third Article Of Its Aforementioned Law Of Creation, The Womens Institute Will Develop, Within The Scope Of The States Powers, The Functions Of Promoting Measures Aimed At The Assistance And Protection Of Women. Victims Of Gender Discrimination And Formulate Information Initiatives And Activities, As Well As Ensure The Image Of Women In Advertising And Respond To Specific Complaints In This Field. The Womens Institute Lacks The Sufficient Material And Personal Resources Required To Satisfactorily Fulfill The Objective Set Forth In This File, And It Is Economically More Advantageous For It To Outsource The Aforementioned Services.
