As Part Of Its'' Better Moorings Project (Bmp), Bath & North East Somerset Council (B&Nes) Seek The Provision Of Specialist Marine Recovery Services To Remove 5 Sunken Boats From The Central Waterway (Pulteney Stretch) In Bath.This Follows Due Diligence With Land Searches And The Respective Boat Owners. As Of 29Th August 2024 B&Nes Considers All Sunken Boats ''Abandoned'' And Seeks Removal Of The Vessels From The Waterway In One Continuous Activity.The Contract Will Involve: Removal (Recovery/Salvage - Recovery Is Preferable), Boat Valuations, Transport, Secure Storage (Minimum 2 Months), And Disposal (Preferably Achieved Through Boat Sale At The Best Possible Price), Otherwise Through Recycling (Wherever Possible) And Responsible Scrappage.As This Activity Is A Council Priority, Having A Number Of Associated Risks Attached, Including H&S, Damage To Property, And Occupiers Liability, B&Nes Intends To Complete This Activity At The Earliest Possible Time (March/April 2025).Other Factors That Should Be Considered And Minimised Wherever Possible Are: Ecological And Environmental Impacts Of Planned Activities, Disturbance To The Riverbed, Disruption To River Users, And Disruption To Local Residents.Please Find The Moscow Requirements For This Project Contained Within The Separate Accompanying Document.
