Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Occupational Safety and Health Audit and training. Closing Date: 20 Sep 2024 Background of Peace Winds Japan Beginning as a shelter partner in the Dadaab refugee camp, Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) expanded its operations to include Kakuma in 2015. Presently, PWJ is spearheading the implementation of humanitarian assistance in the areas of water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), shelter, and logistics support in the Dadaab and Kakuma camps as well as the Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement. Although PWJ has a country office in Nairobi, its field offices in Dadaab and Kakuma serve as its hub for operations. PWJ has been able to carry out ongoing and completed projects in the aforementioned sectors as well as related sectors like livelihoods and agri-nutrition in both refugee camps and surrounding host communities thanks to funding from a variety of donors, including the Government of Japan, Japan Platform, UNICEF, UNHabitat, UN Women, WFP, UNFPA, ECHO, and most recently JICA. Objective of the Consultancy Peace Winds Japan plans to hire a qualified individual or company to conduct an Occupational Safety and Health Audit and provide training. Ensuring PWJ Kakuma complies with the Legislative Act of Occupation Safety and Health at work is the goal of this consultancy. It is anticipated that the consultant will carry out a thorough audit and provide training in every area listed in the work scope below. Examine the PWJ health and safety protocols that are currently in place, gather and evaluate data on the situation in collaboration with the Human Resource, Management, Safety, and OSH Committee, and review the literature to find the most up-to-date information on OSH best practices that are relevant to the audit goal.
