The Stem Pixel Detector Will Be Applied In The Imaging Of Ultrathin Sections Of Biological Samples Embedded In Resin And Will Enable The Precise Identification And Localization Of A Very Small Amount Of Nanomaterial (Below The Edx Resolution Limit). Advanced Technology Is Required For The Device, Where The Output Data From The Detector Carries Information About The Detection Of Each Individual Electron, Specifically Records Of Its Energy, Impact Location, And All This With A Time Resolution Of At Least 1.5 Ns. High Detector Sensitivity Is Necessary To Minimize Noise At Low Energies. Furthermore, Emphasis Is Placed On Compatibility (Hardware, Software) With The Existing Electron Microscope In The Clients Laboratories, On Which The Detector Will Be Installed.
