The Marine Institute Invites Tenders To This Request For Tenders From Economic Operators For The Provision Of: Charter Marine Fishing Vessel To Conduct The Irish Coastal Ecosystem Survey (Iceco). This Public Procurement Competition Will Be Divided Into 4 Lots. Each Lot Will Result In A Separate Contract. Each Lot Will Be Required To Provide A Vessel Charter To Conduct An Ecosystem Based Survey Which Will Collect A Broad Spectrum Of Information On The Coastal Areas And Inshore Nursery Grounds. Each Lot Charter Will Run For 10 Days In July-September (Dependent On Weather And Necessary Derogations), And Will Require A Vessel (Approx. 12-15M In Length) Capable Of Towing A Single Demersal Trawl And/Or Beam Trawl In Shallow Waters. The Marine Institute Will Have A Minimum Of 3 Scientists On Board, And An Experienced Commercial Fisherman Contracted By The Marine Institute. The Marine Institute Will Provide All Gear.
