The Contracting Authority Hereby Invites You To Submit A Request For Participation In Tendering Procedure No. T74340 For The Mid-Life Update Of Four (4)Beach Armoured Recovery Vehicles (Barv). The Tender Includes A Maintenance Contract Of 10 Years With An Option Clause For Extension By 5 Years. The Tendering Procedure Will Be Conducted As A Negotiated Procedure With Notice Pursuant To The Dutch Defence And Security Procurement Act (Adv). All Qualifying Candidates Will Proceed To The Second Stage The Negotiation Stage. During This Negotiation Stage, You Have To Submit An Initial Tender. You Can Subsequently Negotiate About It With The Contracting Authority. After Conclusion Of The Negotiation Stage, You May Revise Your Offer And Then Submit A Final Tender. The Contracting Authority The Contracting Authority Is The Materiel And It Command Of The Ministry Of Defence, The Netherlands. The Materiel And It Command Ensures That Military Personnel Have Modern, Robust And Safe Materiel And It To Work With. For This Purpose The Materiel And It Command Is Involved In The Procurement, Maintenance And Sale Of Materiel And It. After Procurement, The Materiel And It Command Hands Over The Purchased Materiel To The Relevant Armed Forces, Which Is Then Responsible For Its Sustainment. The Barv Provides Support Of Amphibious Landing Operations By: Securing Beached Landing Craft Utility (Lcu) Or Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (Lcvp) Vessels And Pushing These Back Into The Sea. To Make This Possible The Barv Is The First And Last Vehicle To Enter Or Leave The Beach With The Lcu. Recovery Of Stranded Tracked And Wheeled Vehicles. Securing The Beach Landing Site As An Armed Command Post. The Barv Will Also Be Used For Training, In Preparation For Deployment And During The Actual Deployment Of The Armed Forces. The Barv Is An Unique Vehicle Developed Especially For The Dutch Marine Corps.
