The University Of The Bundeswehr Munich (Client) Was Founded In 1973 At The Request Of The Then Federal Minister Of Defense, Helmut Schmidt, Under The Name Bundeswehr University Munich . It Is One Of Two Universities That The Bundeswehr Has To Train Its Officer Candidates And Young Officers. The University Belongs To The Civilian Organizational Area Of Human Resources And Is Assigned To The Federal Ministry Of Defense. The Client Operates A Data Center That Is Primarily Used For Communication, Data Processing And Data Storage Purposes. The Client Uses A Variety Of Different Hardware Components In The Data Center. These Are Exclusively Those From The Manufacturer Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( Hpe ). Some Of The Components Used Are Of A Newer Design And Some Are Older, So-Called Legacy Components . The Client Is Looking For A Contractor Who Will Take Over The Maintenance And Repair Of All Network Components And Associated Servers In The Data Center. The Client Concludes A Contract With The Contractor With A Term Of Three Years.
