The Uk Shared Prosperity Fund (Ukspf) Is A Central Pillar Of The Uk Government S Levelling Up Agenda. Nationally, It Is Providing 2.6 Billion Of New Funding For Local Investment From April 2022 To March 2025 Against Three Themes: Communities And Place, People & Skills And Supporting Local Businesses. Within London, 144M Has Been Allocated To The Greater London Authority (Gla). The Gla Has Allocated Ukspf Funding To Local Authorities To Support Local Businesses Within Intervention E23 - Strengthening Local Entrepreneurial Ecosystems And Supporting Businesses At All Stages Of Their Development To Start, Sustain, Grow, And Innovate, Including Through Local Networks .Through The Ukspf Supporting Local Businesses Funding, Sutton Council Is Commissioning A Service To Provide In-Person Support To A Range Of Businesses Within The Borough. This Will Complement Wider Provision Including The Wayfinder Programme Run By London And Partners And Specialist Support Commissioned By The Gla Through Open Calls. It Will Also Add To The Council S Current Offer Which Includes Webinars Run With Partners; A Regular Business Newsletter To Signpost To Wider Resources/Support; And An Ambitious Town Centre Regeneration Programme. The Regeneration Programme Will Activate Vacant And Underutilised Premises To Diversify Uses And Create Spaces That Businesses Need To Start-Up And Grow. Through This Programme, Oru Space Is Developing A New Co-Working And Flexible Office Space With 500+ Desks, A Hospitality And Wellbeing Offer, And Intergenerational Rooftop Growing Space. The First Phase Launched In November 2022, And The Workspace Is Expected To Open In September 2023.
