120Diversion Tunnel gate (4.05m x 8.1m) conforming to IS 4622 may be provided at intake structure. Diversion Tunnel Gate shall be operated by independent rope drum hoist conforming to IS 6938. The associated seal shall conform to IS 11855. The Diversion Tunnel gate shall usually remain open to feed water to the powerhouse. The Diversion Tunnel gate shall be designed for opening and closing under unbalanced head conditions.
